Job Description:Role Overview The Cboe FX and UST Web Tools team is hiring a Software Engineer.This is a full stack software developer position with the Cboe FX team to build/maintain highly reliable (on all day) software applications and web interfaces supporting the operational needs of foreign exchange and fixed income trading platforms. Development team members are in the NYC area and will be expected to report to the office 4 times/week. Responsibilities include:
- Flexible web interfaces for researching market activity, configuring the trading platform and market participants, and any other internal business process needing a web front end
- Designing Postgres data storage schemas
- Generation of reports providing business intelligence insights
- Automated scanning, identification, and alerting of system health conditions and anomalous activity
- Using best practices for unit testing
- Communicating with stakeholders to capture/refine requirements and iterate towards a final product
- Documenting relevant details in the team's wiki
- Leveraging AI responsibly (Claude/Copilot) to optimize productivity and system reliability
The ideal candidate has:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or comparable field
- 2+ years of experience with:
- Python
- Full Stack web development
- Django or similar Python web framework
- JavaScript, preferably React
- PostgreSQL or similar relational database
- Linux/Unix
- Git
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience using AI across the software development lifecycle
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with staff in operations and sales
- Self-directed, self-motivated

Salary Ranges (applicable for US locations only)At Cboe, we are committed to providing a competitive, transparent, and market-informed total rewards program. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $122,188-$158,125, with actual compensation determined by job-related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.
This role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long-term equity programs.
