Software Engineer (Troy, MI)SummaryWe are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain business-critical web applications in a cloud-based environment. This role will contribute across the full technology stack, including back-end development using .NET, cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure, data solutions utilizing SQL Server, and front-end development technologies including React. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver who can work independently on moderately complex projects while partnering with architects, senior engineers, product owners, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using .NET, SQL Server, Azure services, and modern web technologies.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and business logic using .NET technologies.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of user interfaces using React and related front-end technologies.
- Design, develop, and optimize queries, stored procedures, and data integration processes for SQL Server databases.
- Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
- Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
- Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, and Azure SQL.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application defects and performance issues across the full technology stack.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operational procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Work closely with product owners, business analysts, QA analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Support production applications, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-6 years of software development experience in full stack or backend application development.
- Experience developing applications using C# and .NET.
- Experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server database design, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development best practices.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of microservices and distributed application architectures.
- Familiarity with application monitoring and logging tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-based applications.

Work Schedule - Full time. Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30 pm. Permanent Remote position (No in-office days).

Pay - The salary for this position is $125,000 per year. Actual salary is dependent on skills, experience, education, and other business factors.
