Software Engineer - Tools and ApplicationsAn active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required for this role About this RoleWe're building the next generation of AI infrastructure, and we need a software engineer who's ready to roll up their sleeves and help make it happen. In this role, you'll be a core contributor to an AI infrastructure team - developing and maintaining the tools and applications that allow a large customer base to harness AI capabilities seamlessly and efficiently.
This isn't a heads-down, ticket-grinding role. You'll engage directly with customers, translate loosely defined problems into real solutions, and help shape the direction of AI-enabled capabilities as mission needs evolve and new technologies emerge. Requirements shift fast in this environment, and that's part of what makes it exciting. You'll need to be curious, adaptable, and ready to keep growing.
You will:
- Design and develop high-quality AI tools and applications for a mission-driven workforce
- Ensure the high availability, reliability, performance, and security of AI-powered tools
- Modify free and open-source software (FOSS) to fit the specific needs of the customer environment
- Engage regularly with customers to conduct requirements elicitation and deliver solutions that address their needs
- Maintain existing customer-facing infrastructure and applications to ensure reliable, continuous service
Requirements- Proficiency with Python or another object-oriented programming language
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience using LLMs as part of a code solution workflow
- Strong communication skills and a genuine willingness to ask questions
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to shifting requirements
- 3 years of experience with a B.S. in a technical discipline, or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Preferred Skills- Experience with LLM UI open-source software such as OpenWebUI
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud service providers
- Experience with Kubernetes and Helm
- Familiarity with Argo CD and/or other CI/CD frameworks
- Experience supporting production software using Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices
- Experience with Docker and containerization

Salary Range$197,500 - $232,500
This range includes our flex income and depends upon your annual work hours.
Salary is determined on an individual basis following the interview process and considering various factors such as years of experience, skills, education, and certifications.
