Full Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose:

As a Software Engineer, your role will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be directly involved in working with Versatile's real time error monitoring to help identify and address systems integration issues or platform defects as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new requirements, improve its performance, or upgrade its interfaces.
  • Monitoring real-time system error notifications, researching identified systems logs to assess impact, and remediation and deployment of fixes.
  • Directing system testing and validation procedures.
  • Directing software programming and documentation development.
  • Consulting with internal groups, partners, and customers on project status and proposals.
  • Working with internal groups on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
  • Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.
  • Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent field experience.
  • 2-4 years of industry experience.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to digest complex projects or Customer issues and devise a plan to best complete/solve them.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript, and modern frameworks such as Spring framework, VueJs, or React.
  • Experience with server-side platforms such as Java, Kotlin, or Javascript/NodeJS.
  • Experience with relational databases is a plus.
  • Experience with modern version control and CI/CD systems such as GitLab, GitHub, and BitBucket.
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate, and work in a fast-paced team-based environment.


Grade/Level: 09

The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training and culture events.
