ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

We are seeking a talented, adaptable Software Engineer (Atlassian Suite Specialist) to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain custom tools and services in support of the Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo). You won't just write code in isolation; you will work closely with software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers to deliver seamless integrations that boost productivity and streamline developer workflows across the enterprise.

The annual base salary range for this role is $199,000-$235,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

Required Skills

Linux Proficiency: Strong hands-on proficiency navigating and developing within Linux environments via the command-line interface (CLI).

Scripting & Automation: Strong experience with scripting languages including Bash, Python, and Groovy.

Core Java & Frameworks: Recent Java software development experience in Linux environments, including hands-on experience with the Spring Framework.

Atlassian Ecosystem Development: Direct experience using the Atlassian Plugin SDK to create, extend, and customize Atlassian applications and services.

Web & Search Technologies: Proficiency in modern web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), Apache Velocity, and OpenSearch.

Containerization: Experience utilizing container technologies, specifically Docker.

Technical Documentation: Demonstrated ability to create clear, comprehensive documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and architecture changes.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Finance/Economics, or a related discipline, PLUS 7+ years of specialized data analytics or financial intelligence experience OR Master's Degree in a related field, PLUS 5+ years of specialized analytical experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 9+ years of hands-on intelligence analysis, financial tracking, and data discovery experience in lieu of a degree.

Desired Skills

Broad end-user and administrative experience across the full Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and configuration management automation tools such as Ansible.

Hands-on exposure to AWS or other enterprise cloud technologies and cloud-native application patterns.
