ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
We are seeking an ambitious, forward-looking Level 1 Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain mission-critical software capabilities. In this role, you will work hands-on with data-driven analytics, database applications, and real-time processing architectures. Whether debugging existing codebases, adding innovative features, or writing automated tests, you will collaborate closely with systems engineers and team leads within an Agile environment to translate requirements into scalable, performant software.
The annual base salary range for this role is $199,000-$235,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills
Software Development Core: Software development proficiency using languages such as C, C++, Python, Java (J2EE / Eclipse IDE), Ruby, Perl, or JavaScript.
Unix Environment & Scripting: Demonstrated experience developing in Unix operating systems, including practical shell scripting capabilities.
Database & Querying: Experience developing simple to intermediate queries for relational and non-relational database applications or data repositories.
Version Control & Agile Workflow: Familiarity with source code control systems (such as Git), Agile development methodologies, and collaboration tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira/Confluence).
Debugging & Testing: Ability to analyze user requirements, debug existing software, correct defects, and execute test procedures for software components.
Integration & Architecture: Understanding of system-level vs. component-level requirements, hardware/software trade-offs, and integrating software components with OSS, COTS, or GOTS solutions.
Configuration Management: Working knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) tools and Web Services implementation.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Finance/Economics, or a related discipline, PLUS 2+ years of specialized data analytics or financial intelligence experience OR Master's Degree in a related field, PLUS 0+ years of specialized analytical experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 6+ years of hands-on intelligence analysis, financial tracking, and data discovery experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired Skills
Containerization & CI/CD: Exposure to container technologies (e.g., Docker) and continuous integration practices.
Orchestration & Event-Driven Systems: Familiarity with event-driven or data-driven analytics, queue management systems, or frameworks like Spring and Kafka.
System Documentation: Experience writing or reviewing technical documentation and user guides for software components.
