Position Description & Qualifications

Serco is seeking aSoftware Engineerto design, modify, develop, write and implements software programming applications. This role Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. This role calls for a well-rounded self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment. The selected individual will consistently demonstrate high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new information. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Familiar with a variety of the field`s concepts, practices, and procedures.

In this role, you will:
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient solutions on AWS with guidance from technical solution architects
  • Participate in and contribute to technical architecture and design for complex applications
  • Ensure design and implementation of application, integration, and processes are in accordance with guidance from technical solution architect and AWS best practices
  • Understand "As Is" Data Warehouse structures and ETL processes in order to transition these to leverage cloud-native tools and technologies
  • Design and implement optimized enterprise data warehouse processes in accordance with established architecture standards using Amazon Redshift
  • Implement data analytics solutions and processes for metrics reporting dashboards to support business decisions with minimal supervision
  • Contribute to design and implementation of solutions using AI/ML services and technologies in AWS with guidance from technical architect
  • Participate in and contribute to Proof of Concept (PoC) efforts to support evaluation of emerging technologies under technical architect supervision
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure quality, security, and maintainability

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bacehlor's degree
  • At least 3 years of experience
  • Hands-on experience with data warehouse design and implementation, Normalized vs. Denormalized Data Structures, Fact and Dimension tables
  • Data engineering, including data management, cataloging, data integration and ETL processes, SQL for data querying and manipulation, integrating data from various sources, and ensuring data Quality & data integrity throughout the data pipeline
  • Experienced with AWS technologies, S3, Postgres/Redshift, QuickSight/QuickSuite
  • Expertise with MS SQL, including CDC (Change Data Capture), Temporal Tables, Indexing, Optimization, Query Performance tuning, and Power BI
  • Knowledge and experience with FFM health care and medical insurance data is very desirable
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Position contingent upon EUA ICT registration and verification (post employment)
