Full Job Description
With limited oversight, implements well-defined technical problems or solutions. With knowledge of general programming languages, frameworks and deployment methodologies, creates API-based applications from concept to finished product with a cloud-first emphasis.

Principle Duties:
  • Designs, develops, tests, deploys and supports API-based systems focusing on industry best practices with a cloud-first emphasis.
  • Manages individual tasks and timelines under limited supervision.
  • Seeks continuous quality improvements for supported systems
  • Assists in problem analysis and submits recommendations when appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) of Computer Science or equivalent experience Required
  • Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) Preferred


Work Experience:
  • 1+ Years of software development experience. Required
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies Required


Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficiency in multiple tools of the full stack covering frontend frameworks, databases and deployments Required
  • Experience with a variety of general programming languages Required
  • Ability to solve moderately complex problems, drawing upon technical experience, precedents, and judgement Required
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to explain complex information in straightforward situations Required
  • Experience with a variety of database technologies Required
  • JavaScript/Java/Groovy/Go/C#/.Net/Python Preferred Docker/Kubernetes Preferred
  • Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge Preferred

Compensation Range:
$78,080.00 - $110,860.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
