  • Support Reagan Test Range missions and other technical projects.
  • Provide input to issue review boards for problem reports and feature requests.

Full Job Description
RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of our nation in defending the United States and its interests.

This overseas position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodations or pets). Benefits of this unique location include free housing, three meals a day and potential for overseas tax incentives.

What You Will Do:
  • Support software engineering efforts to open, investigate, design, implement, and test software engineering solutions on existing RTR software products.
  • Coordinate with Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, Configuration Management, and Test Operations to ensure successful integration, verification, and validation of new software releases.
  • Support all RTR software products to include Optics, Radar, and Telemetry sensors, and Space Surveillance Software in support of the Department of Defense.
  • Maintain existing software projects by preventing code rot, upgrading systems, and resolving critical software bugs.
  • Produce Static Code Analysis reports; Remediate critical cyber vulnerabilities as needed.
  • Support Reagan Test Range missions as well as RTR technical projects involving software and other technical support.
  • Provide input to internal software Issue Review Boards (IRBs) to triage all new problem reports and feature requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM discipline.
  • Must have and maintain or be able to obtain prior to start date a Security+, CySA+, GICSP, or similar certification meeting DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01 baseline certification for IAT Level II.
  • Must have and maintain or be able to obtain within 3 months of start date a CE (Computing Environment) Linux+, Server+ or similar certification meeting DoD 8140.01/ DoD 8570.01 baseline certification for IAT Level II.
  • Understanding and proficiency using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix-based Operating Systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Proficiency with Version Control software using GIT based products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks; self-starter.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to balance, plan, prioritize, and execute projects.
  • Ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment with time constraints.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support projects or mission requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with C/C++, Java, and/or Python.
  • Experience with basic Linux System Administration.
  • Use of Static Code Analyzing products such as Fortify.
  • Experience with basic relational database queries (e.g. SQL, MySQL).
  • Containerization using Docker or Podman.
