PayPal, Inc. seeks Software Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ
Job Duties: Drive key initiatives and KPIs, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the payment's domain daily. Manage critical incidents in collaboration with domain owners, external partners, and vendors. Conduct in-depth analysis of bugs and deliver swift resolutions to address customer issues effectively. Challenge the status quo and introduce innovative software solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Develop efficient, clean, reusable, and high-quality software code without unnecessary complications or abstraction. Manage workload and other assignments efficiently while being able to resolve time critical situations reliably and professionally, and take ownership of the component assigned. Present issues and solutions to audiences of varying sizes. Partial telecommuting permitted from a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Python/Java programming (2 years)
2. External processing partner Engineering and incident management experience (2 years)
3. SQL - Oracle or Big Query (2 years)
4. Transactions processing and transaction remediations (2 years)
5. Batch processing and scheduler development and monitoring using Python (2 years)
6. Kafka, Elastic search or equivalent audit log investigation and analytical experience (2 years)
7. Triage and incident resolution experience on environments processing high transactional volume (2 years)
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:
Primary Location | Pay Range:
Scottsdale, AZ | Salary: $123,500.00-210,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
