DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to find Data and Algorithm Analyst supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Aurora, CO.
Job duties will include but are not limited to: Our Space program is in need of personnel that can review data collection and determine satisfactory data from noise/interference and other data determined to be unsatisfactory. Determine if ratio of amount of satisfactory data vs unsatisfactory data is acceptable and meets requirements. Once unsatisfactory data is removed from data set, process satisfactory results with multiple algorithms sets and verify processing results are acceptable and meets requirements. Feedback processing results (both acceptable and unacceptable) into algorithm design for processing enhancements and new algorithm development, along with further processing automation enhancements. Report collection and processing results to the technical leadership project
Basic Qualifications:- Level 5: Bachelor's degree in Science with 12+ years of relative experience; 10+ years with a Master's; An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Requires an active DoD Top-Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility, at time of application.
- Tool familiarity: Python, specifically strong with numpy, pandas, and matplotlib. Matlab and other tools to process and model RF signals
- Additional skills needed: Linux and script execution. Troubleshooting Data collection and processing bugs driving to resolution to include interaction with HW.
- Periodicity: Daily processing and troubleshooting, weekly reporting
Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
