DescriptionMarkon is seeking a Software Engineer Level 3 to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems in support of mission-critical programs for the Fort Meade Customer. This role involves working with processing-intensive analytics, large-scale data systems, and real-time applications. The engineer will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, supporting system design, implementation, and performance optimization while collaborating within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements
- Design and implement frontend solutions with a focus on Angular-based applications
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance specifications
- Review and test software components to ensure adherence to design requirements and document results
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and problem reports
- Apply appropriate software development methodologies and best practices
- Contribute to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and technology selection
- Support software reuse and evaluate the use of COTS/GOTS solutions
- Perform requirements analysis and decomposition from system-level to individual software components
- Collaborate effectively both independently and within a team environment
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 12+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong experience with Angular development
- Experience developing complex, data-intensive, or real-time applications
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices
- Experience with system design, requirements analysis, and software testing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary RangeUSD $225,000.00 - USD $240,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
