Full Job Description
Build software that solves challenging, real-world problems.

Your work won't be limited to theoretical problems or prototypes. Depending on the project, you could contribute to technologies involving 3D reconstruction, object detection, image manipulation detection, motion pattern learning, and anomaly detection. You'll have opportunities to work directly with customers, participate in live field tests and demonstrations, contribute to open source software, and see how the software you build performs in real-world environments.

If you're a strong C++ and Python developer who enjoys solving difficult technical problems and collaborating with people across disciplines, this role offers an opportunity to put those skills to work on projects with meaningful impact.

What You'll Do

In this position, you'll:
  • Develop robust software solutions using C++ and Python.
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers on projects involving computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
  • Help translate research, algorithms, and prototypes into reliable software for real-world applications.
  • Contribute to projects in areas such as 3D reconstruction, object detection, image manipulation detection, motion pattern learning, and anomaly detection.
  • Develop software for Linux, macOS, and/or Windows environments.
  • Depending on your projects, interact directly with customers, visit customer sites, and participate in live field tests and demonstrations.
  • Have opportunities to contribute to and maintain open source software, including platforms such as VIAME and TeleSculptor.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with relevant project experience outside of an academic setting and/or a master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant subject area.
  • Strong programming skills with experience using both C++ and Python.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and environments, including tools such as Visual Studio, gcc, clang, make, CMake, or CDash.
  • Ability to develop software for Linux, macOS, and/or Windows operating systems.
  • Due to contractual requirements, only U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.
  • If not already cleared, willingness and ability to apply for and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using GitHub or GitLab for code reviews, documentation, and release management.
  • Ability to learn core Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies such as EC2, EBS volumes, S3, and CloudWatch.
  • Ability to learn DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Vagrant, and Packer.
  • Interest and experience in open source software development.
  • An active government security clearance of TS or higher.
