About the jobThe Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Infrastructure Operator Experience (IOx) team integrates software engineering with systems operations in restricted, air-gapped environments to make GDC operable and reliable at scale. Our mission is to bridge the 'Empathy Gap' between product development and infrastructure operators, transitioning GDC operations from reactive firefighting to proactive engineering.
We act as pathfinders for the latest platform issues, converting those experiences into repeatable operating frameworks and intuitive tools that empower partners and customers to run GDC autonomously. Rather than simply automating the status quo, we proactively push GDC up the operability gradient by simplifying control systems, reducing signal noise, and designing software solutions that eliminate manual toil at its source.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
