Full Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineering Professional to support the development and sustainment of the Indirect Fires Protection Capability (IFPC) missile launcher and interceptor systems. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical air and missile defense software. The selected candidate will apply modern development practices, including iterative delivery and CI/CD, to guide software through the full lifecycle from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and long-term sustainment. Responsibilities include conducting technical evaluations of system designs, development plans, test methodologies, and maintenance strategies to ensure compliance with stringent performance and security standards. You will proactively identify and resolve technical and programmatic risks affecting PM SHIELD systems and leads software quality efforts through verification and validation activities, qualification testing, and participation in design and failure review boards.
Required
• ABET accredited degree or BS in technical field
• Extensive hands-on experience with Agile software development frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• 6 years of engineering-related experience
• Some travel
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
