ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for a Software Engineer (SWE) to join our rapidly-growing team in Reston, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing full-stack software solutions to challenging technical problems, with responsibilities including but not limited to front-end and back-end development, database management, code refactors, and performance optimization. You will need to work within tight timelines and resource constraints while still delivering a high-quality product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Design, develop, and deploy robust full-stack software solutions, spanning front-end user interfaces (e.g., with React/Angular) to resilient back-end services and optimized database interactions (e.g., SQL Server)
- Proactively maintain, update, and refactor existing mission-critical software systems to ensure longevity and performance
- Actively contribute to software development for critical tasks as needed to meet deadlines
- Adhere to software best practices and coding standards, review peer code, interact with version control, maintain build processes, and perform testing
- Perform rapid issue triage and in-depth root cause analysis to diagnose and resolve complex system failures in production environments
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- 1-3 years of experience in full-stack software development
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related STEM field, or equivalent industry experience
- Proven ability to quickly onboard, understand, and contribute effectively to large, complex existing codebases and systems
- A genuine passion for leveraging technology to solve complex national security challenges in a high-stakes, rapid-development environment
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience working in C#, Typescript/Javascript, or Java.
- Direct experience with SQL Server, including schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular).
- Experience in DevOps (CI/CD, containerization, sharding).
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, libraries, or experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into software applications.
US Salary Range
$129,000-$171,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
