Job Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer in Test to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for enterprise healthcare applications. This role is responsible for building scalable UI and API automation frameworks, ensuring product quality, and supporting release readiness in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Cypress or Playwright, API testing, and modern DevOps practices, while collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Build and execute automation test suites using Cypress and/or Playwright.
• Develop automated test scripts using JavaScript or TypeScript with Cucumber/BDD.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to review requirements and define test strategies.
• Design reusable automation components and testing utilities to improve testing efficiency.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Investigate, isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects using both automated and manual testing techniques.
• Validate Angular or Vue-based web applications and RESTful APIs; support GraphQL testing where applicable.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation based on business requirements.
• Ensure applications meet performance, security, reliability, scalability, and usability standards.
• Perform rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept testing for new solutions.
• Mentor junior QA Automation Engineers and promote automation best practices.
• Participate in cross-team collaboration to improve automation standards and testing processes.
• Support accessibility testing and quality engineering initiatives.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of professional experience in software testing or software development with a strong focus on test automation.
• Experience developing and maintaining enterprise automation frameworks using Cypress and/or Playwright.
• Strong programming experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience implementing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber.
• Experience testing Angular or Vue-based web applications.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of automated and manual testing methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Git or Bitbucket, Jenkins, and deployment automation tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with GraphQL testing.
• Experience with code quality and test coverage tools such as Sonar or SeaLights.
• Experience with accessibility testing.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting automation best practices.
