As a Software Engineer at Pinterest, you will contribute to initiatives that empower developers to build modern, world-class web experiences for Pinners with high productivity, performance, and quality. What you9ll do:- Build the web platform that powers Pinterest.com for hundreds of millions of users, along with the frameworks and tooling that empower hundreds of engineers to build it.
- Improve foundational web architecture, DevEx, builds, CI/CD, and testing capabilities to help developers work more effectively.
- Identify site-wide challenges and propose, test, and ship solutions.
- Contribute to large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that improve the Web platform.
- Raise web stability, scalability, performance, and accessibility by implementing best-in-class web development standards.
- Accelerate the web development lifecycle with AI agents by assisting with large-scale migrations, automating repetitive engineering tasks, and building agent-powered workflows that let developers ship faster with higher confidence.
- Participate actively in technical design, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
What we9re looking for:- Minimum 3 years of experience in Web development and a solid understanding of JavaScript, CSS, DOM, HTTP protocol and how the web works.
- Experience with technologies such as React, Redux (or other state management solutions), TypeScript, and testing frameworks like Jest or React Testing Library.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Rspack, or Vite.
- Exposure to Node.js, server-side rendering techniques, or frameworks such as Next.js or Remix.
- Ability to deliver projects across team boundaries with guidance, and a growing interest in developer experience, performance, and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to make platform improvements, test functionality, and evangelize adoption of platform features.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding agents (eg. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) and a point of view on how to harness them for large-scale migrations, code generation, and developer workflow automation.
- Love for Web and drive to keep up-to-date with new technologies, trends and best practices in client architecture.
- Bachelor9s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
