Rate of Pay: $198,100 to $209,000 per Year

Duties: Design, develop, and test software applications. Design, develop, and/or test software applications using company technology stack. Apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex data, developments, and projects in order to provide recommendations to resolve technical issues. Support the company's business operations and improve engineering productivity. Build software components that can be integrated into a fully functional software system. Solve production issues in product and system reliability. Translate business requirements into robust, cross-functional solutions by working closely with diverse stakeholders. Partner with backend engineers and cross-platform developers to architect and implement Road Safety features such as Ridecheck, Crash Detection, telematics-based driver behavior detection, and computer vision powered safety solutions. May telecommute.
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology, Information System Management, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires:
01. C++, Python, Java, Kotlin, GIT, or SVN;
02. SQL or MySQL;
03. Data structures and algorithms development and functionality;
04. Designing technology stacks;
05. Debugging and monitoring for production services;
06. Distributed systems;
07. Software Development Lifecycle;
08. Android SDK, including core libraries, tools, and frameworks;
09. Experience in monitoring and optimizing Android application performance;
10. UI/UX design principles and creating responsive, intuitive user interfaces.

Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office.
