Over the last several years, we've learned that the future of growth lies in combining massive reach with experiences that feel uniquely relevant to each user and their intent. Advances in client-side AI, reinforcement learning, and large language models have created a rare opportunity to reimagine personalization from the ground up. Realizing this vision requires pioneering new ways of integrating software engineering and data science-bridging the gap between signals and intelligence, experimentation and learning, design and distribution. We're looking for an exceptional Software Engineer to join the Edge Growth Deep Personalization team and help build the foundation for a new era of AI-driven experiences that delight hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and operate scalable personalization platforms and services that power intelligent experiences across Microsoft Edge and the broader Microsoft AI ecosystem.
  • Leverage robust experimentation frameworks and measurement solutions to evaluate user impact, optimize engagement, and drive product growth.
  • Develop end-to-end product features from ideation to production, including client-side, service-side, and experimentation components that reach hundreds of millions of users.
  • Leverage AI, machine learning, and large language model technologies to create personalized, context-aware experiences that help users discover and accomplish tasks more effectively.
  • Transform behavioral signals, telemetry, and user feedback into actionable product improvements through data-driven engineering and experimentation.
  • Partner closely with data scientists, product managers, designers, and researchers to rapidly prototype, validate, and scale innovative user experiences.
  • Apply modern engineering practices to deliver highly reliable, performant, secure, and maintainable systems across diverse platforms and device types.
  • Explore emerging technologies, including on-device AI, client-side models, reinforcement learning, and agentic experiences, to shape the future of personalized browsing.
  • Analyze complex product and technical challenges, propose innovative solutions, and drive projects from conception through launch and iteration.
  • Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative engineering culture by sharing knowledge, providing technical input, and embracing Microsoft's values of respect, integrity, accountability, and growth mindset.
