Position Summary- Production Support Engineer - SFRC Platform Services
- Own end-to-end production support for all SRPL batch runs supporting the DMC13, MLI and FRRB programmes - from batch initiation through monitoring, incident triage, recovery, and downstream data availability confirmation.
- Serve as the US-timezone escalation point for production incidents, covering the full batch lifecycle across APAC, EMEA, and AMRS runs.
Responsibilities:- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
- Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
- Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
- Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Own daily SRPL production operations across regional cycles (APAC, EMEA, AMRS), ensuring successful and timely completion of critical batch milestones.
- Monitor and manage batch health across sensitivities, PnL, HPL/RTPL, VaR/SVaR, and MLI streams, with proactive intervention on failures and delays.
- Lead incident response end-to-end: detection, impact assessment, technical triage, rerun strategy, service restoration, and closure.
- Correlate and resolve issues across MAPS upstream dependencies (Market Data, QzTrades, Rules Repository) and SFRC batch execution layers.
- Operate and troubleshoot production tooling including BOB/AMPS job monitoring, HUGS grid, Quartz workflows, and Sandra-based operational utilities.
- Validate downstream data availability and completeness for consumers such as RRA and DQHub, ensuring regulatory delivery obligations are met.
- Serve as L3/L4 escalation point for US-hours production events and drive clear, timely communication to global stakeholders.
- Build and maintain Python-based diagnostics and automation to reduce MTTR, improve detection quality, and harden operational controls.
- Contribute to runbook quality, post-incident reviews, and preventive control enhancements to improve platform resilience.
Required Qualifications:- Experience in Python
- 3+ years in production support or batch operations on a large-scale risk calculation platform.
- Deep understanding of Quartz infrastructure and experience working on large-scale risk calculation platforms.
- Hands-on experience with SRPL/MAPS batch systems - BOB job monitoring, HUGS grid, Sandra, and upstream data readiness.
- Ability to independently own production incidents from detection through resolution and stakeholder communication across global time zones.
Desired Qualifications:- Strong Python scripting for batch diagnostics, operational tooling, and automation.

Pay range
$88,800.00 - $144,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
