As a Software Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of innovative software solutions that drive the success of our aerospace products. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software applications that meet the needs of our customers.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our aerospace software solutions, ensuring high-quality performance and reliability in critical applications.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, code, test, integrate, qualify, and document test software for Clearwater Space products, including Inertial Navigation Units (INU's) and Single Board Computers (SBC's).
  • Complete tasks under supervision of a test software technical lead. Learn and utilize the Aerospace Engineering Process (AEP) to develop high quality test software products on time and within budgeted hours.
  • Interact with internal customers and team members and participate in peer reviews and major design reviews.
  • Participate in Year-over-Year (YoY) improvement projects with other department team members.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Strong understanding of programming languages such as C# or C plus plus.
  • Experience with software development tools and version control systems.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Familiarity with software testing frameworks and version control systems.

WE VALUE
  • Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience developing in C# for Windows Desktop applications.
  • Experience developing in C/C# or C plus plus for embedded applications including hardware-software integration.
  • Experience performing data analysis and algorithm development in MATLAB.
  • Experience in developing applications in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing requirements.
