As a Lead Software Engineer II on the Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for...
  • Design, build, test, and maintain NI2 application capabilities that support workflow-driven functionality and case management needs
  • Develop and enhance integrations, application programming interfaces, and third-party interfaces that support secure data exchange and business processes
  • Modernize legacy application capabilities by refactoring components into maintainable, scalable application services
  • Collaborate with product, data, cloud, and quality assurance teams to support agile planning, development, testing, release, and post-release stabilization
  • Troubleshoot defects, identify root causes, and implement fixes that improve application reliability, security, and performance

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Engineering
  • 5+ years of software engineering or application development experience building and maintaining enterprise applications
  • 5+ years of experience developing application components, integrations, and application programming interfaces in enterprise environments
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications into service-based or cloud-enabled architectures
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments supporting planning, development, testing, and release activities
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required
  • Ability to travel 40%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting modernization of legacy systems
  • Experience in federal, defense, or secure cloud environments
  • Experience with application dependency discovery, cloud-first application development, cloud integration, DevOps engineering, and software build and release management
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington DC, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Washington DC and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,500 to $229,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
