Description & Requirements

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will partner with EA Sports game teams to integrate new Frostbite engine releases, improving integration quality, developer workflows, and engineering efficiency.

This is a hybrid role based in Vancouver, with three days per week in the office.
What You'll Do
  • Contribute to Frostbite integrations across EA Sports game teams, supporting engine upgrades, code merges, refactoring, and technical delivery.
  • Develop and improve integration workflows, tooling, and engine performance to increase reliability, accelerate upgrades, and reduce engineering effort.
  • Collaborate with Frostbite domain and game teams to improve engine APIs, developer workflows, and the overall integration experience.
  • Research, prototype, and implement automation and AI-assisted solutions that improve integration quality, developer productivity, and engineering efficiency.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with hands-on development experience in C++ and/or C#.
  • Experience with software performance analysis, profiling, debugging, and optimization.
  • Understanding of memory management, multithreading, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a software development team to design, implement, test, and maintain production-quality software.
  • Experience with version control and large-scale source code management tools, such as Perforce.

Nice to Have
  • Experience in an AAA development environment
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal, game engine development, release, and integration

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
