Full Job Description
About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the Core Platform team in Boston, you will play a critical role in building the internal software systems that track, organize, and present the data behind our safety software development process. In this position, you will work at the intersection of software infrastructure, data systems, and verification, developing the tooling that helps the team understand test results, code coverage, and overall engineering progress. You will collaborate closely with firmware, DevOps, and technical leadership to ensure critical data is preserved over time, connected across systems, and transformed into clear reports and dashboards used both internally and in support of safety certification efforts.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain internal software systems that collect, organize, and curate engineering data such as test results, code coverage, and related verification outputs.
  • Develop the tooling and data plumbing needed to connect multiple databases and third-party systems.
  • Design and generate reports, dashboards, and internal web pages that give engineering and leadership clear visibility into progress and system health.
  • Ensure data integrity, traceability, and long-term preservation across the safety software development lifecycle.
  • Support the generation of documentation and reporting artifacts used to demonstrate process compliance to external testing and certification bodies such as TÜV.
  • Work with CI and build-system outputs to surface actionable information from automated test and verification workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and firmware teams to make sure the right data is captured, stored, and presented in useful ways.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with ability to build reliable internal systems that will be trusted over time.
  • Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality internal tooling, data plumbing, and automation.
  • Experience with databases, backend data flows, and integrating systems from multiple vendors or sources.
  • Experience with CI systems and an understanding of how build, test, and verification data should be captured and reported.
  • Experience building internal web tools, dashboards, or reporting interfaces; familiarity with modern frontend tools such as React is a plus.
  • A strong instinct for data integrity, backups, reliability, and maintaining systems whose outputs support important technical and compliance decisions.
What We Offer
  • Comprehensive health coverage for US-based employees, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, with virtual care and employee assistance resources.
  • Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of PTO (accrued), separate sick leave, and paid company holidays.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match.
  • Equity included-we believe builders should share in what they build.
  • Free daily catered lunch, snacks, and drinks in-office.
  • Collaboration with top-tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics.
  • Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives.

For this role in Massachusetts, the expected base salary range is $150K - $200K USD per year; your placement in that range depends on how your experience maps to our internal leveling.
