Full Job Description
On the Commercial Software team, we are building the platform that interfaces with the autonomous vehicle which enables customers and internal operations to manage fleet of trucks. We're a full stack web development team that works closely with our onboard team to integrate our platform and the vehicle, partners with the commercial team to build automated integrations with our customers' systems, and collaborate with design to create polished, seamless interfaces.
You will...
- Be part of a team of multidisciplinary Engineers and Research Scientists using an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving at scale.
- Build reliable and scalable tools and framework to support Autonomous Vehicle (AV) development.
- Develop innovative solutions for challenging problems with scalable, production quality software.
- Receive hands-on work experience in identifying requirements, building and deploying software.
- Work closely and learn from the best developers in Autonomous Vehicles and Machine Learning.
- Build a strong foundation of software development principles and patterns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- 2+ years of industry experience developing production quality software.
- Demonstrated software engineering experience through internships, work experience, or coding competitions.
- Proficient in reading and developing production quality software; experience with Go or Typescript.
- Open-minded and collaborative team player with willingness to help others.
Bonus/ nice to have:
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: modern web technologies, distributed systems, data storage and processing, cloud infrastructures, test-driven and API-driven development methodologies, and system design/architecture.
- Experience in ML and self-driving.
- Experience working with robotics or machine learning research teams.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
The Canada yearly salary range for this role is: $149,000 - 220,000 CAD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi Canada Inc.s' yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company's compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Note: The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
