  • Create dashboards and workflows that help engineers, technology leaders, Finance, Procurement, and application owners make informed decisions.
  • Contribute to system design, database design, and infrastructure decisions, balancing scalability, reliability, security, usability, and cost.
  • Use approved AI coding agents for implementation, testing, refactoring, and documentation; read, review, test, and debug the resulting code.
  • Build secure, observable services using CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, logging, metrics, and tracing.
  • Partner with Cloud Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Security, application teams, and other stakeholders to turn business problems into practical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues, document technical decisions and operating procedures, and continuously improve the team's products and processes.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Experience building software through coursework, internships, co-ops, research, personal projects, or prior employment; no specific number of years of professional experience is required.
  • Experience with Python and/or TypeScript and the ability to read, review, test, and discuss code. Strong fundamentals in another modern programming language will also be considered.
  • Foundational knowledge of system design, database design, cloud infrastructure, and the tradeoffs involved in building reliable services.
  • Experience writing SQL and working with structured data, relational databases, data models, or data pipelines.
  • An understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, data exchange formats, and service-to-service integrations.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and at least one major cloud platform.
