Overview

As a Software Engineer in the Client Onboarding Transformation team, you will build and scale the digital platform that simplifies how Corporate Bank clients are onboarded. You will deliver modern, low-friction capabilities within a global engineering organization of more than 150 colleagues, partnering across technology, Business, operations, product, and architecture. Your work will reduce manual effort and complexity by advancing automation, unified user experience, workflow orchestration, strategic APIs, and responsible AI solutions. You will help shape an engineering platform that improves both client and colleague experiences across products and regions.

What You'll Do
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications and microservices across the Client Onboarding platform
• Deliver microservices, APIs, workflow orchestration, automation, and user-interface capabilities that reduce onboarding friction and manual processing
• Translate complex Business and operational requirements into resilient, secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
• Collaborate in an Agile, cross-functional team with engineers, product owners, architecture, Business, and operations colleagues across global locations
• Apply engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration, observability, and production support
• Explore and apply responsible AI-assisted solutions that automate complex onboarding activities and improve team productivity

Skills You'll Need
• Proven software engineering experience with strong hands-on Java and Spring/Spring Boot development, including building microservices and full-stack applications
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade applications, microservices, APIs, and workflow solutions for complex Business processes
• Experience developing cloud-native applications using relational databases and containerized environments
• Practical knowledge of Agile delivery and modern software development practices, including automated testing, source control, continuous integration, and delivering secure, reliable, maintainable solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve Business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

• Collaborative mindset and a track record of contributing positively to shared delivery goals
• Delivery orientation, ownership, and comfort working iteratively with iterative and fast-paced delivery environments
• Interest or experience in AI engineering and intelligent automation, including Gemini AI or similar technologies
• Experience in financial services, client onboarding, workflow platforms, or similarly regulated environments

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $100,000 to $153,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
