Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Fort Worth, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- 5+ years experience programming in Python
- 3+ years experience with the Linux/Unix command line
- 5+ years of experience with software configuration management tools (Git, Artifactory, Nexus)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, integrate, support, and debug cutting-edge software across multiple platforms.
•Own and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, ensuring builds are fast, reliable, and reproducible.
Champion virtual development labs and aircraft-software workflows, keeping them nimble and user-friendly.
- Design and build automation frameworks using a mix of open-source, commercial, and in-house tools-letting you experiment with the latest technologies.
•Engage daily in scrums, sprint reviews, and technical demos, sharing progress and learning with the team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Experience with CI tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket
- Experience with Real-time software development and integration
- Experience programming in Python
- A strong interest in supporting software development for airborne systems
- Experience with aircraft sensors, datalinks, navigation, and/or weapons
- Experience with Open Mission Systems
- Experience leading software projects
REQUIRED EDUCATION- Accredited Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college/university in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
WORK HOURS- Full-Time
- 4/10 work schedule
- 1st Shift
