What You'll Be Doing (We don't love the bullet points, but we love the work!)As the Software Engineer, you'll be a part of a team responsible for developing, building and sustaining backend capabilities that support an evolving application suite, combining modern development, containerization, and systems integration to keep services dependable and scalable.
Required Skills- Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools
- Experience developing scripts using Bash
- Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
- Experience with Rust programming concepts, or a willingness and aptitude to learn Rust
- Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
- Familiar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ
- Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
- Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
- Experience using Git Source Control System
Desired Skills- Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
- Fluent in sarcasm, kindness, and the occasional office banter
