Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Software Engineer to join our team supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program.
As a System Software Engineer supporting the THAAD Program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our software development lifecycle, from design to deployment. You will work closely with our teams to implement Digital Transformation practices, update and maintain our Software Configuration Management processes, and ensure System Software Engineering processes are followed and improved for the THAAD program.
In this role you will:
• Support the Software & Digital Transformation manager within the Engineering group
• Update, and maintain processes and plans
• Coordinate changes to processes with multiple Components and multiple function groups within the THAAD program
• Support tools transition and development as part of the program digital transformation
• Support the System Software Engineering team for Software Development Plan, Program Software Configuration Management process, and Non Developed Item process
• Development of custom tooling to support metrics generation, process improvement and other customer deliveries
• Coordination across multiple development and test teams to build and refine common processes and workflows
• Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to define and implement program improvements such as new metrics and tool implementations
Basic Qualifications
• Software Engineering experiences, education, or knowledge
• Flexibility and determination to learn new skills
• BS Degree in a related field required
• US Citizenship Required with the ability to obtain Final Secret clearance
Desired skills
• Background in a software or technical field
• Strong communication skills enabling teamwork and collaboration across Agile Development Teams
• Demonstrated understanding of configuration and data management, including both software and documentation baselines
• Experience with Configuration/Version control, deployment, tracking and development tools (i.e. Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, Ansible)
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of or experience in Agile Methodologies
• Fundamental knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps processes and tools
• Results driven, strong problem-solving/out of the box thinking skills
• Working knowledge of Nexus, Git, Jira, etc.
• C#/.net experience highly desired
• Experience developing Python scripts for custom tooling is highly desired

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $62,700 - $110,630. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
