Job Requisition: ServiceNow Engineer / Developer - Fleet Product GroupSummaryU.S. Bank's Fleet Product Group is seeking a strong ServiceNow Engineer / Developer to help modernize and improve the way we support Fleet customers. Fleet delivers products and solutions that help customers manage fuel and other business spending, and we are investing in better operational workflows, customer-facing support experiences, and integrated service management capabilities.
This role will focus on designing and delivering ServiceNow capabilities across Customer Service Management, service operations, onboarding, customer issue management, and API-based integrations with source-of-truth systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, delivery-focused, and comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle in an agile scrum environment.
Role DescriptionThe ServiceNow Engineer / Developer will be part of a small team that will partner directly with product and operations to build scalable ServiceNow solutions that improve internal operations and customer support experiences for the Fleet business. This includes developing ServiceNow CSM modules, enabling onboarding workflows, supporting customer-facing portals for issue management, automating manual processes, developing AI insights for customers, and integrating ServiceNow with core business platforms through APIs.
The candidate should be able to translate business needs into technical designs, configure and customize the ServiceNow platform, build reliable integrations, participate in agile delivery ceremonies, and contribute to quality engineering practices across the SDLC.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of relevant experienceRequired and Preferred Skill Set- Hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including design, configuration, customization, testing, implementation, and support of platform capabilities.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow Customer Service Management and IT Service Management modules.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment with a Scrum framework, including sprint planning, refinement, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Experience developing integrations using REST APIs, Scripted REST APIs, and other ServiceNow integration capabilities.
- Strong JavaScript scripting experience on the ServiceNow platform, including client-side and server-side scripting.
- Experience building and managing workflows using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.
- Experience with Advanced Work Assignment, including channels, queues, assignment rules, agent presence, and capacity management.
- Ability to troubleshoot Agent Chat and Configurable Workspace issues.
- Experience with Service Portal development, including portals, pages, widgets, and custom logic.
- Experience with platform components such as Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, UI Pages, UI Macros, and CMS.
- Front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, or similar technologies.
- Ability to collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, QA engineers, and operations teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills- Experience supporting fleet, transportation, fuel card, payments, or commercial spend management products.
- Experience working with call center or contact center operations, including case routing, agent workflows, queue management, and customer issue resolution.
- Experience building customer-facing portals or self-service support experiences.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems that serve as source-of-truth platforms.
- Financial/Fleet services industry experience.
- Use Service Now - Now Assist capability

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
