Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities:- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications, including React-based UI, APIs, and backend services
- Lead and contribute to modernization initiatives, migrating legacy/on-prem systems to cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure)
- Build and enhance scalable, secure APIs and microservices aligned with enterprise architecture and performance standards
- Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver high-quality code, participate in design reviews, and continuously improve engineering practices
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation, ensuring reliable and efficient deployments
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements in performance, reliability, and security
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Two to three years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience- Strong hands-on experience with React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS familiarity a plus)
- Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs / microservices
- Proven experience in full-stack development across UI, services, and backend systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), including application migration, configuration, and integrations
- Experience modernizing legacy/on-prem platforms to cloud-based architectures
- Strong database expertise with Oracle or PostgreSQL, including DDL/DML and performance tuning
- Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Rancher)
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) using Jira and Confluence
- Experience with identity & security frameworks (IAM, SSO, OAuth2, JWT, Active Directory, TLS/mTLS)
- Exposure to enterprise security architectures and cross-platform security implementation
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) for coding and debugging
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including production support, vulnerability remediation, and release management
- Knowledge of data engineering and platform best practices (testing, observability, performance tuning, cost optimization)

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
