Position Summary:The
Software Development Team Lead provides leadership direction to the technical team in the delivery of software project components and technical expertise. Collaborates with the Designer, Business and Systems Analysts, Project Manager, and developers on various projects. Focuses on application product delivery aspects.
What you will do:- Provide technical leadership for projects and serves as point of contact in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Develop vision for project including identification of and agreement on problems to be solved, identification of system stakeholders, system boundaries, and the description of primary system features.
- Analyze current business systems, determines scope and estimates effort for each element of scope.
- Assist in designing GUI and software components.
- Perform requirement analysis including determination of Actors and Use Cases and the development of Business Use Cases and Systems Use Cases.
- Coordinate development efforts, coordinates and leads code reviews, and ensures compliance with quality control processes.
- May construct various software components and validates completeness and quality.
- Assist in monitoring project activities, defining best practices and initiating process improvements.
- Provide input in hiring decisions and performance evaluations; mentor and motivate developers.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
When you will work:- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
- Hybrid schedule, 4 days in office in Wyoming, MI with 1 day remote
What you'll bring to the table:- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
- Five to eight years previous software engineering experience with one year previous leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
- This position requires excellent leadership skills to mentor and motivate developers.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to resolve problems.
- Must have good time management and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
- Must be able to demonstrate drive and initiative, be highly motivated toward company, team, and individual results, and be able to maintain focus on priorities.
