Responsibilities

ThePeraton Health, State and LocalSectorisseeking aSoftware Development, Lead Associateto join us in supporting andmaintainingthe Medicare FeeForService claims processing system. In this role,youwillbe asenior technical contributor onan Agile teamproviding maintenance and operations support for the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment(DME)contract.

As aSoftwareDevelopment, Lead Associate, you willyou will work within a highly structured and rigorous development environment that follows theSAFeAgile/Scrum framework. This role focuses onhandling project coordination and technical design to hands-on coding, unit testing, and defect resolutionacrossfunctional areasof themainframelegacyDME system.

Quality is vital to this mission,the rolewill build and executeunit test plans, test cases, and test dataincluding COBOL and Assembler components.This rolewill also handle installing changes into internal testing regions,troubleshootingandresolving defects,identifyingprocess improvements, andkeepingtechnical documentationcurrent.Additionally, thisLead Associaterole will betranslating customer goalsand requirementsinto actionableworkitems for the team, whileserving as a technical resource and mentor todevelopers.

Qualifications
  • Education & Experience:BS/BA with6+ yearsof relevant experience; orMasterswith 4 years of relevant experience; or HSdiplomawith10+ years experience.

  • Proficiencywith mainframe technologiesincluding COBOL, JCL, CICS, TSO and VSAM.
  • Knowledge of health care claims processing, particularly Medicare Fee for Service.
  • Abilityto perform well in a highly rigorousstructureddevelopment environment.
  • Demonstratedexperience as aseniorsoftware developer in a mainframe environment.
  • Demonstratedability todetermineand decompose businessand technicalrequirements.
  • Application lifecyclemethodologyexperience,specifically Agile/SCRUM
  • Strong communicationskills and technical writingability.
  • Ability to develop application project solutions and estimating.
  • Experience with Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B,DMEor Medicare Common Working File (CWF) specific processing systems.
  • Experience working withor in supportofCMSprograms and contracts.
  • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOpstools and frameworks through plan, define, build, test, release and deploy process.

Preferred Qualifications:

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
