ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Software Development Lead Associate to support the Fraud and Prevention Services (FPS) program as a key member of a high-performing technical team.
We are looking for a motivated, forward-thinking engineer who is excited to contribute to new initiatives, adapt to evolving requirements, and learn emerging tools and technologies that enhance the value we deliver to our clients.
In this role, you will:
- Support the evaluation and integration of AI capabilities to enhance data quality, fraud analytics, and automation within the Databricks environment.
- Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize machine learning models, ensuring robust, scalable deployment within AWS environments.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL solutions
- Collaborate closely with experienced engineers to modernize the edits ingestion pipeline, leveraging Java, Python, and Big Data technologies within an AWS cloud environment.
- Work with core AWS services.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
- Strong hands-on experience developing, testing, and supporting ETL processes.
- Proficiency in Java and J2EE architecture, including frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Experience implementing or supporting AI workflows and AI development of Agents and MCP Servers using Python libraries.
- Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and deployment by rapidly transforming requirements into production‑ready code.
- Practical experience integrating ML-driven components into production pipelines or data engineering workflows.
- Hands‑on experience working with Snowflake and Databricks platforms, including data engineering workflows, optimizing queries and pipelines, managing scalable data solutions, and integrating cloud‑based analytics into enterprise environments.
- Background in backend development with a focus on building scalable, secure server-side applications.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal development teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile and SAFe methodologies.
- Must have US Citizenship or Must have been a resident of the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.
- Must have ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare industry analytics and data, preferably Medicare or Medicaid.
- Data Science experience and Programming languages: Python or R
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes
- Experience with Test Rails
- Experience deploying AI Agents and MCP Servers using AWS services.
- Familiarity with Databricks Genie environment
- Understanding of Responsible AI principles and applying them in regulated environments such as healthcare or federal programs.
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
