Work you'll do

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II (SDET II) on the Human Services Transformation team, you will be responsible for...
  • Review business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scope, gaps, and downstream impacts.
  • Create, maintain, and execute functional test cases, test scripts, and test data aligned to end-to-end business workflows across web applications, mobile applications, application programming interfaces, and integrated systems.
  • Perform sprint, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing support to validate eligibility, enrollment, benefits, claims, case management, and other business processes.
  • Log, track, triage, and retest defects, including documenting reproduction steps, expected results, and supporting evidence.
  • Partner with business analysts, developers, product owners, and testing teams to support test planning, defect triage, release readiness, test traceability, and test status reporting.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a technical field
  • 2+ years of experience performing functional testing for enterprise applications in an Agile delivery model
  • 1+ years of experience translating business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into test scenarios and expected results
  • 1+ years of experience creating and executing functional test cases, test scripts, defect tickets, and test evidence using Jira, Azure DevOps, Application Lifecycle Management, or comparable tools
  • 1+ years of experience validating end-to-end business workflows, system integrations, application programming interfaces, and data flow across multiple systems
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting Health and Human Services systems, including eligibility, enrollment, Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, child welfare, child support, unemployment insurance, or case management platforms
  • Experience supporting system integration testing and user acceptance testing activities
  • Experience using Postman or comparable tools for application programming interface testing
  • Experience using Structured Query Language for test data validation
  • Experience with accessibility, privacy, and security testing in public sector programs
  • Experience supporting testing documentation, sign-offs, and compliance artifacts
