Overview

Are you ready to launch your career by building software that makes a real-world impact? As a developer on our team, you will build software leveraging Esri's products and APIs for customers across a wide swathe of sectors.

This is a unique opportunity to grow your technical skills while contributing to projects that matter. You'll work alongside engineers and mentors in a collaborative, cross-functional environment that values learning, innovation and purpose. From building intuitive AI web interfaces to writing Python for geoprocessing tools and AI agents, you'll be exposed to the full development lifecycle and cutting-edge GIS solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Work with a team of software engineers, product engineers, and designers dedicated to help users expose their geographic data over the Internet
  • Enhance the capabilities of the Feature Services, which expose Geographic features representing real world entities such as roads or wildfire boundaries via a REST API, from inception to delivery
  • Design, implement, and test components that make feature services
  • Solve complex problems with application design, development, and user experiences
  • Create software that is scalable, easy to use, and easy to maintain
  • Find, analyze, and fix bugs/performance problems whenever and wherever they occur in the software
  • Build and ship quality software by working effectively with members of other software development teams
  • Document APIs in an easy to understand manner

Requirements
  • Two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation
  • Must demonstrate experience in HTTP, REST, JSON, and SQL
  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, GIS, or a related field
