Job: Software Developer
Team: Enterprise Information Management
Location: Waterloo, ON, Canada (office-based)

OpenText is the market leader in Enterprise Information Management platforms and applications. The division is seeking a Software Engineer who shares our passion for developing and maintaining products related to world class search capabilities for cloud and on-premises offerings.
This position requires employees to be based near and work from one of OpenText's Canadian office locations. Specific work arrangements will align with current OpenText workplace policies.
Your Impact:
As a member of the Enterprise Information Management platforms team, you will:
• Full participant in all aspects CICD process for multi-tenant cloud application
• Have ownership through full lifecycle of product development, including design, development, validation and test automation, deployment, and support in production
• Design and build software to introduce new functionality and expand existing functionality
• Write excellent code following industry best practices
• Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports and customer escalations
What you need to succeed:
• BS or MS in CS or a related technical field and 2+ years of enterprise software development experience in a product team or equivalent work term experience for newer grads.
• Solid and hands-on programming experience with Java/J2EE/Spring or understanding of Java with solid experience in C++, C#
• Experience with web services, such as REST or SOAP
• Experience with debugging, triaging, and resolving technical issues
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Apache Lucene/Solr or other full-featured text search libraries
• Experience leveraging AI to accelerate solutions.
• Experience with cloud deployment technologies
• Experience with Dockers and related containerization technology, Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with agile methodology

Salary Range: $86,800.00 - $130,200.00; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
