WORK LOCATION:

This position will work in a flexible-hybrid environment. The selected candidate must live locally within a commutable distance to our Boca Raton, FL headquarters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Software Developer, you'll have the opportunity to create excellent software that solves real business problems, improving the lives of millions of injured workers while benefitting the businesses that employ them. In addition, you'll:
  • Collaborate with product owners and IT partners as part of an Agile team to deliver value early and often, and to continuously improve
  • Work in an innovative environment, with an adoption of new technology and continuous learning as strategies for delivering high-quality, high-impact software
  • Develop across the technology stack, moving between front-end, middle-tier, and back-end
  • Have full engagement in the entire product development and delivery pipeline
  • Take ownership from ideation, through development and testing, to production deployment, operation, and support
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and Scrum meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Foster and develop your capabilities, as well as those of your team, through mentoring, coaching and pair programming

WHAT IT TAKES:
  • 3+ years relevant experience in software development/engineering
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Demonstrated experience in both front-end and back-end/service layer development, testing, and quality assurance methodologies
  • Strong command of a statically typed language (Golang, C#, Java)
  • Thorough knowledge of web technologies and standards (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, JSON, HTTP, Restful APIs/Web Services, node.js)
  • Ability to leverage open-source frameworks and libraries, such as React, Material-UI, automated testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, etc.)
  • Experience with relational (ORACLE, SQL Server) and/or NoSQL database engines (MongoDB)
  • Comfort in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience with source control (Git), CI/CD/DevSecOps practices and technologies (GitLab), and container-based/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Inclination to automate all varieties of testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and exposure to TDD and BDD testing frameworks
  • Ability to work on Agile Scrum projects, possess an agile mindset, prioritize product backlog items, and provide development metrics
  • Adaptability to troubleshoot, problem solve, be proactive, and be willing to take ownership
  • Fluency in software design and enterprise integration patterns, object-oriented and functional programming paradigms
  • Ability to convey information and interact with both IT and business partners, communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal communication, actively listen to others, and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Passion for sharing, contributing, and exchanging ideas and innovative technologies with like-minded community development members
