Full Job Description
National Fuel is seeking a Software Developer for an outstanding career opportunity in our Information Technology department at our Williamsville, NY headquarters.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support various in-house developed applications as well as vendor purchased solutions.
  • Perform application maintenance, patching, installations, configuration changes, testing and user/production support.
  • Work with other IT staff and third-party vendors to develop and deploy applications and interfaces.
  • Elicit requirements and document user stories for technology initiatives.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize initiatives based on value and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Work with various development teams as needed.
  • Document solutions and provide training to end-users where needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • High level of initiative, professionalism, and leadership with strong interpersonal/communications skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with moderate-to-strong technical competencies.
  • Ability to learn a variety of new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment. Effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Well organized and self-motivated with strong customer service, technical, project and analytical skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years prior hands-on experience in Software Development and Administration.
  • Experience in environments utilizing Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of coding standards and best practices.
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI and automation to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Experience with API integration, OutSystems or tools such as C#, C++, SQL and/or Visual Studio.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $105,000

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
