What You Will Do
Guidehouse is seeking a talented Software Developer – Mid to support a large-scale federal technology program operating within secure and classified environments.
This role requires a hands-on software development professional responsible for building, enhancing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications that enable mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with practical experience delivering secure, maintainable, and scalable solutions as part of Agile development teams.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications supporting mission-critical business processes.
- Develop application functionality using modern software development frameworks, tools, and programming languages.
- Build and maintain APIs, system integrations, data interfaces, and supporting application services.
- Participate in Agile software development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, development, testing, and release support.
- Support DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and operational incidents.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, cybersecurity personnel, infrastructure engineers, and stakeholders to deliver integrated technical solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including design artifacts, test plans, release documentation, and operational procedures.
- Support implementation of secure coding practices and assist with remediation of software security findings.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on software quality, maintainability, performance, and operational effectiveness.
What You Will Need
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Four (4)+ years of experience developing highly complex enterprise applications.
- Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
- Experience developing software using one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience developing and supporting database-driven applications and system integrations.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Experience supporting secure, compliance-driven federal environments.
- Strong analytical, technical documentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment technologies.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53, RMF, STIGs, secure coding practices, and authorization requirements.
- Experience supporting classified, national security, intelligence community, or other highly regulated environments.
- Security+, AWS, Azure, or related technical certifications.
The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
