A large Material Handling Company in Grand Rapids, MI is looking for a SoftwareDeveloper. This person will be responsible for supporting the minimization of customer backlog. They will spend most of their time implementing upgrades to existingsoftwareor performing maintenance root cause analysis work. This will require digging into customer logs and following the trail down to code. They will then be required to fix the code and run tests to confirm that the update fixed the issue. Most of the code will be in Java. Once backlog is minimized, they will move into project work supporting customers with upgrades to customer material handling equipment (i.e. Cranes, shuttles, pickers, sorters).

Compensation:
$45/hr to $60/hr

Bachelor's degree in software or computer engineering (or related degree)
Minimum 5 years of software development experience
Experience coding in Java
Able to write code from scratch
Experience with Enterprise Systems or Distributed Systems (i.e. ERP/CRM/SCM systems)
