Position Overview
Securian Financial is seeking a software developer to jointhe Bills, Beneficiary and Beyond (BBB)team within Employee Benefit Solutions Technology (EBST).BBBis responsible for supportingessential systemswithin the Employee BenefitSolutionsecosystem.
As part of theBBBteam, you will create technical solutions to achieve business outcomes based on an understanding of customers, business processes, and technical requirements. You will carry out engineering tasks in a diverse technology environment, including designing, coding, configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting quality software solutions, systems architecture, application security, and application infrastructure. You will continuously improve and develop internal software and configure packaged applications by evaluating business needs to develop solutions that enhance business capabilities.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Collaborate withdevelopment teamsand business partnersin anagileenvironmentto solve problems with a testandlearnmindset.
Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needswhich includes serving in an on-call support rotation.
Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation activities ofmedium to high complexity.
Supporttechnologymodernization effortsincluding learningnew technologiesused in the new implementation.
Developandmaintainanunderstanding ofself-administered billing and premium processes, beneficiary management process and data, Illustrations process and data, along with their integration with other systems.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience developing software using Java and familiarity with javascript.
Familiarity with Git/GitHub and modern development workflows
Willingness to learn and work within a complex domain involving customer and employee data with a strong focus on customer service for both internal and external customers.
Ability to troubleshoot issues, ask questions, and incorporate feedback through code reviews and collaboration
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates accountability, curiosity, problem solving and a desire to grow technical skills
PreferredQualifications:
Experienceutilizingand implementing DevOps capabilities such asCI/CD pipelines, Git, GitHub, Junit, and GitHub Actions.
Experience with relational databases such as SQL server.
Experience deploying applications with Kubernetes.
Knowledge & experienceutilizingAWS capabilities such as EC2, Serverless, and Lambda.
Experience with both web applications and backend services.Experience inintegrating backend services with web applications.
Experience with Informatica PowerCenter would be useful.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:
$72,000.00 - $134,000.00
