Key job responsibilities
As an SDE II on the ODB[redacted] team, you will own the design and delivery of critical features that enable customers to deploy, manage, and scale Oracle databases with the reliability and operational excellence they expect from AWS. You will work across the full stack-from infrastructure automation and control plane services to monitoring, security, and customer-facing APIs-to deliver a world-class managed database experience.
* Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems that power the ODB[redacted] service
* Own end-to-end feature delivery from requirements gathering through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, database engineers, and partner teams across AWS
* Contribute to system architecture decisions and drive technical excellence through code reviews, design documents, and best practices
* Mentor junior engineers and raise the technical bar for the team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
