Job Title: Software Control Engineer
Location: Wilmington, MA- Hybrid 80%-90% onsite
Duration: Permanent Role

Job Description:
Our client is looking for a talented and self-motivated Software Control Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience architecting, developing and maintaining the range of complex electrical and electronic systems comprising a Client metal additive manufacturing machine. This includes, but is not limited to, controls design, power design, servo system design, and PLC design.

PLC servo motion control integration experience;
Experience in automating processes is preferred;
3+ years PLC Programming experience;
bility to read electrical schematics;

Education/Experience:

Required:
B.S. degree in Electrical, Robotics Engineering, Computer Science or related fields;

Desired:
M.S. degree in Electrical, Robotics Engineering, or related fields;
5+ yrs. with masters, or 7+ years since bachelors with experience in a related field

Other Skills required:
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written as well as proven effective teamwork.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD systems.
Programming Experience with C,C++/C#
Strong background in Mechatronics, specifically servo motors and feedback control systems.
Spice or similar circuit simulation experience.
Familiarity with Client, Delta Tau, Beckhoff (Safety) PLC & EtherCAT I/O.
Experience / familiarity with PC-based / rack-mount control systems.
Experience in additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing
