Software Configuration Management Analyst in Boulder, Colorado.
An SCM Analyst plans and evolves processes and infrastructure to execute programs that support rapid software maturity and deployment while sustaining a stable security posture and incorporating ongoing stakeholder feedback. As an SCM Analyst, you will integrate development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks; implement provisioning and deployment techniques via build, packaging, componentizing, and distribution; operate using agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback; and ensure implementation of SCM, code quality, and code coverage with and without automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Job Responsibilities: - Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software releases adhere to program build requirements, comply with quality and hardware configurations, document operating parameters, and remain logistically sustainable.
- Track and monitor changes to a software system's configuration metadata, including handling dependencies, version control, and variability management.
- Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database, or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development.
- Design, implement, and contribute to the automation of build procedures used to support software product development and use.
- Generate and maintain program software development, release, and change records.
- Develop software configuration standards for program-wide use.
- Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.
- Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
- Act as change board administrator and facilitator to review, scribe, manage, report, and hold multiple weekly meetings with software teams within the allotted time, delivering meeting minutes and notes at the conclusion of each session.
- Review various software documentation artifacts to ensure CM processes are properly implemented.
Job Requirements: - Configuration Analyst: Master's degree and 0 years of experience, Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related configuration and/or data management (CDM) experience, an Associate's degree and 4 years of related CDM experience, or 6 years of related CDM experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Principal Configuration Analyst: A PhD and 1 year of CDM experience, a Master's degree and 3 years of CDM experience, a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related CDM experience, an Associate's degree and 7 years of CDM experience, or 9 years of related CDM experience considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have an active US Government Secret clearance, with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
- Experience analyzing proposed product design changes to determine their effect on the overall product and system baseline.
- Experience coordinating modification records to maintain baseline control.
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment using Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Nexus.
- Ability to identify automation needs and design and implement CI/CD solutions.
- Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels.
- Experience coordinating and creating configured builds for test and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with ClearCase and GitFlow.
- Experience working with Docker containers.
- Knowledge of and fluency in tool development.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
