Full Job Description

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst to help maximize the value of our software investments and ensure license compliance across the organization. In this role, you will partner with GCIS Infrastructure, Procurement, Finance, and IT teams to manage the full software asset lifecycle, deliver impactful usage and financial insights, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and standardization. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative professional who enjoys combining technology, analytics, and financial strategy to improve processes, support vendor engagements, and drive smarter software consumption decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of software assets, entitlements, licenses, and contracts.

  • Monitor software usage and license consumption to identify compliance risks and optimization opportunities.

  • Support FinOps consumption model roll-out by partnering with GCIS Infrastructure team for usage reports.

  • Partner with Finance in creating P&L views and reporting software usage to various technology stakeholders

  • Support software audits, internal reviews, and true-up activities with vendors and publishers.

  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, legal, and IT teams to track software agreements and renewal dates.

  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports on software inventory, compliance status, and cost optimization.

  • Support implementation and administration of SAM tools (USU) and IT asset management platforms.

  • Provide recommendations for software standardization, reclamation, and cost savings.

  • Ensure software asset data quality and support continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Financial Operations, licensing, procurement, finance, or a related discipline.

  • Strong working knowledge of software licensing models and compliance requirements, particularly for major vendors such as Microsoft, Broadcom, and Oracle.

  • Hands-on experience preparing, analyzing, and managing Effective License Position (ELP) reports; experience supporting or responding to vendor audits is highly preferred.

  • Financial background or experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost management, or financial analysis is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, financial, and business teams.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI and software asset management tools is a plus.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable results, driving process improvements, and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $120,000- $135,000 USD.  Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
