Responsibilities
Provide individual and group counseling services for students' social and emotional needs
Conduct social-emotional assessments, contributing to IEPs and intervention strategies

Respond to crisis situations, including conducting risk assessments
Maintain confidential documentation of services and progress

School Social Worker | 26/27 School Year | $35-$50/hour | Full-Time | Bemidji, MN | Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) as a Tier 3 or Tier 4
What You'll Do
Provide individual and group counseling services to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments; contribute findings to IEPs, 504 plans, and intervention strategies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student support plans and behavior interventions
Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources to support student success and family engagement
Respond to crisis situations, including risk assessments and safety planning, while supporting students and staff during and after incidents
Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of services, case notes, and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Provide consultation and training to school staff on topics such as trauma-informed practices, behavior management, and social-emotional learning
What We're Looking For:
Must Have
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
Minnesota Professional Educators License, active status or currently processing
Department of Justice/FBI Background Check (or equivalent state or national fingerprint clearance)
Eligibility to work in the United States
Preferred

Prior experience working in a K-12 school setting
Experience with crisis intervention, behavior management, and community-based resources
Physical Demands:
Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
