Full Job Description
You9ll set the playbook for how InfoWars shows up across platforms and direct a roster of writers and creators to execute it at the speed the internet demands, all while also making sure the trains are running. We are building a vibrant content slate with many contributors, so success means creating a unified tone of voice with many different inputs and having the judgment to know which risks are worth taking.

This is a fast-paced job with high levels of autonomy and responsibility.

About The Role

As the Social Media Lead of InfoWars, you will own how InfoWars sounds and looks everywhere it shows up, including YouTube, BlueSky, TikTok, Instagram, and whatever platform comes next. You9ll partner with our editorial team to set strategy for our channels and then assign, approve, and shape the work of the writers and creators bringing it to life, making sure a dozen different voices land as one.

Location: Chicago Area or Los Angeles preferred, but open to remote

Key Responsibilities
  • Project manage concepts from pitch to post: Keep content flowing across channels while establishing continued touchpoints with creative leadership. Assign, approve, and lead creative content across several verticals. This is the core of the work.
  • Collaborate with social writers, video editors, and creative leadership to produce content that is not only humorous but also visually compelling and editorially sound.
  • Manage the social media content calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality posts across platforms such as YouTube, BlueSky, Instagram, and emerging digital channels. This means working within our systems (Sprout, Trello, Google, Slack, etc.) and developing your own.
  • Analyze performance metrics to refine social media tactics, ensuring alignment with the broader editorial goals and audience engagement objectives.
  • Stay abreast of social media trends and tools for content creation and audience analytics. Find ways to incorporate them into our daily content.
  • Continually tap into the loud and fast-moving community surrounding one of media9s most interesting brands. Additionally, build our community management approach.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Has significant experience (6+ years) in social media management or digital content creation.
  • Exhibits a keen understanding of creative vision. Able to take direction from the larger creative team while demonstrating judgement to move quickly.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.
  • Organized but flexible: Shepherding a stream of content from creatives while also keeping an ear out for social opportunities that our audience will love.
  • Internet poisoned: InfoWars exposes and overcomes the rot in the modern media of vertical videos, misinformation, and slop. You should be extremely online.

Compensation And Benefits
  • $100,000 to $120,000, based on experience
  • Full eligibility for our benefits offering, including Medical, Vision, Dental, Disability, and Life Insurance. (We fully cover the cost of our base medical insurance for the employee.) We also offer Unlimited PTO, in consultation with your Manager.
  • This is a position covered under the collective bargaining agreement with the WGA-E.

Please attach your resume in the application flow as well as a cover letter containing:
  • A brief, one-paragraph cover letter touching on your experience and the diverse viewpoint you would bring to the position
  • 5-10 lines of copy about any of the following prompts: Getting folks to tune into our InfoWars live stream, watch a new episode of The Jim Haggerty Show, or buy InfoWars merch. (Please do 5-10 lines total, pull from prompts as necessary.) We9re looking for creativity that can make us laugh while feeling extremely online. (You can find reference material at theonion.info.)
